The Story Behind The Design

Featuring black lava beads representing the darkness of human trafficking that surrounds us in the world today. You will see two white beads, one at the beginning and one which represents not the end but where we are today. Joy’s faith has always been her firm foundation and it is upon that foundation that she built her ministry and it is upon that faith that she continues to rely upon daily in order to keep fighting the darkness and not allowing the darkness to break through. These two white beads represent this Holy boundary. Then you will find two light green jade beads with a single larimar bead in the middle. The green beads represent the creation of New Hope Girls and the Larimar represents the Dominican Republic. Next you will find 8 freshwater pearls. The number 8 represents the anniversary of New Girls Hope and March 8 is also known as International Women's Day. In the middle of these 8 pearls is the logo of New Girls Hope. These pearls also represent the beautiful girls rescued. Pearls hold significant meaning, they symbolize purity, wisdom and resilience, reflecting both natural beauty and the transformative power of turning adversity into something beautiful. Then you will find 3 light green jade beads followed by a single butterfly charm and then 4 dark green jade beads. This area represents New Hope Girls as they stand today. The butterfly represents the transformation of each of these girls as they are being loved and cared for within the arms of New Hope Girls. The butterfly also represents freedom.
