Thoughts on the project:

When I began working with the given materials from mend on the move, I realized pretty quickly that experimentation was the best way to find a design that worked. I played with the auto parts and as I began to find designs that looked aesthetically pleasing, I also found that I wanted to tell a story of hope and rebirth.

I wanted to experiment with gold leaf on the auto parts. The gold leaf glows on the metal like the morning sun casting light on a new day. Its another symbol of a bright future.
