The Story Behind the Design
Thirteen mother of pearl tubes mark Allison’s age when she moved to the Dominican Republic, followed by twelve silver beads representing the years before her marriage. Two mother of pearl heishi beads symbolize Allison and her husband, and a Larimar stone—unique to the Dominican Republic—commemorates their move there. Six silver beads stand for the years until Allison founded a school, marked by a small mother of pearl bead. Three beads of mother of pearl and amazonite represent the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as Allison launched her ministry. A small mother of pearl heishi bead honors a miscarriage, a deeply personal part of her journey. Silver beads follow, leading to two mother of pearl tubes and ten heishi beads symbolizing Ephesians 2:10, reflecting Allison’s divine purpose. Three grey pearls and additional beads surround a mother of pearl dove, representing the Trinity and the growth of the Paloma Project—a ministry named after the first woman Allison served, symbolizing freedom and love. This necklace is more than jewelry; it’s a testament to faith, resilience, and hope.
