YuYu's Story of Hope On her first day, YuYu, a former brothel boss arrived almost an hour early in the morning because she didn't want to be late for work. As she began our onboarding process and learned about our company’s mission, vision and values, YuYu cried. On her second day here, YuYu asked if she could introduce us to the other women who used to work in her brothel so they could come to our artisan community too. We hope her enthusiasm about the opportunities here will influence the women she previously employed. Rosaura's Story of Hope "I learned how to make jewelry as a hobby when I was twelve years old. When American outreach teams came to build homes, I would participate in workshops with jewelry designers. I found my passion! I love designing jewelry! Before I became an Artisan, my life was very different. A few years ago, I had a problem with depression and felt that I had no friends. I was always isolated and did not talk to anyone about it. But today, I've overcome my fears. Now, I can be confident and make plans for my life and learn new things. Becoming an Artisan has also helped me to fulfill my dreams of studying, since my family is very poor and I'm one of five children. In my future, I hope to finish my studies, become a professional, and have my own business." Kajal’s Story of Hope  "My husband and I are from a poor family in a local village. We are not educated, and our financial condition was bad. I asked my husband, a local Artisan, to teach me designing. Today, I am designing, earning good money, giving a good education to my kids, and meeting the needs of my family. We recently bought the house of our dreams through our work as Artisans!"
